Graduate School
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university or the equivalent from a foreign institution
- GPA – 3.0 on all undergraduate work (or last half-degree) and a 3.0 on any graduate work already completed
- GRE scores or approved GRE waiver (see below)
Program Requirements
- 3 letters of recommendation – one from employer – not friend/relative
- Statement of purpose- motivation to attend LSU Kinesiology program, including personal and career goals, and your commitment to excellence
- Target GRE score of 295 or approved GRE waiver (see below)

What Will I Learn?
Students enrolled in the online MS in Kinesiology with a specialization in Health Promotion and Sport Performance will gain the skills and experience to contribute to healthy sport performance and address public health issues.
The curriculum in this degree program will include the following topics:
- Examination of the social construction of sport and the systemic issues connected to contemporary sport
- Problems of several areas of social psychology related to sport
- Community health aspects and implications of tobacco, alcohol, drugs, venereal disease and other communicable diseases
