The online Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: English as a Second Language is offered by LSU Shreveport. Through engaging course content and required hands-on field experience in schools and classrooms, teachers develop the knowledge and skills to effectively tackle two challenges: helping students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds master the English language and giving them the tools to succeed in academic courses taught in English. Upon completing the program, you may qualify for an add-on certification and/or endorsement if you already possess a teaching certificate. Graduates will be prepared for many job opportunities, including Department of Defense teacher, ESL K-12 teacher, ESL adult teacher, and English teacher abroad.
