LSU's SHRM-Aligned Online BS in Leadership & HR Development Prepares Students for Success

Choosing the right degree program can make all the difference when building a career in human resources and workforce development. LSU's online Bachelor of Science in Leadership & Human Resource Development (BS in LHRD) prepares students for success by aligning with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)—the top standard in HR education.
What does this mean for students? It means you'll graduate with the skills, knowledge, and connections that top employers are looking for. Plus, LSU's strong ties to SHRM, especially through the Greater Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management (GBR SHRM), give students valuable networking and mentorship opportunities that go beyond the classroom.

What It Means to Be in a SHRM-Aligned Program
A SHRM-aligned program follows the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (SHRM BASK), ensuring that students graduate with the practical skills that HR employers want.
One of the biggest advantages of choosing the SHRM-aligned online bachelor's degree in Leadership & Human Resource Development from LSU is that students can take the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) exam during their final year. Most HR professionals need years of work experience before they're eligible to sit for this exam, but LSU students can graduate with both a degree and a professional certification, giving them a considerable advantage in the job market.
What You'll Gain from LSU's SHRM-Aligned Program:
- Learn from faculty who are active industry leaders
- Access professional networking and mentorship through GBR SHRM
