Dr. Holly Wilson, Professor of Philosophy at Louisiana State University, was recently quoted in an online article for Electronic Specifier titled How AI is improving nursing homes by Lanna Cooper.

With the advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), developers have found ways to create robotic companions and assistants for the elderly. She mentions how robotic assistants in nursing homes aren’t very different from a service animal or a personal assistant like the Amazon Echo or Google Home. Despite the strides made in technology for elderly care, healthcare professionals are still in great demand.
