First 1000 Students Who Enroll in a Bachelor’s Program for Spring 2 2025 May Be Eligible for a $250 Credit

LSU Online is committed to supporting the non-traditional learner through flexible, 100% online programs that can be completed from anywhere around your schedule. Still, balancing family and work while going to school can be daunting. In the spirit of starting the New Year by taking that first step toward achieving your educational goals, LSU Online is offering a $250 credit to the First 1000 students who enroll in a Bachelor’s program for the Spring 2 2025 term.  

Eligibility and Application 

You don't need to submit a separate application or complete a separate form to be eligible for this $250 credit.  Students need to apply to an online Bachelor’s degree program for the Spring 2 2025 term by the February 3, 2025 promotion deadline.* Applications submitted for Spring 1 2025 term and any Associate, Master’s or Certificate program are not eligible. 
 
Your application will be reviewed by the respective college. If you are admitted to the program for Spring 2 2025 term and accept your admission, you must then schedule your classes by March 3, 2025. If you are among the First 1000 students to meet all of the above criteria, you may be eligible to receive the $250 credit.

Frequently Asked Questions 

1. Does this credit require an application? 

No – students do not need to submit a separate application or form to be eligible to receive this credit. 

2. Can I qualify for this credit if I am currently enrolled in an online bachelor’s degree program? 

No. Only newly admitted students for Spring 2 2025 term are eligible for this credit. 

3. I applied for an online Master’s degree program by the February 3, 2025 application deadline and completed registration for the Spring 2 2025 term by March 3, 2025, am I eligible for the $250 credit? 

No. This credit is only applicable to bachelor’s degree programs. Masters, Associates and Certificate programs do not qualify. 

Note: The online Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Bachelor of Science in Cardiopulmonary Science are not eligible for the credit.

4. Can I receive this Credit if I have Employer Paid Tuition Assistance? 

No. If your employer pays your fee bill you are not eligible for this credit. 

5. Can I receive this Credit if my Employer offers Tuition Reimbursement? 

Yes, if you pay out-of-pocket and receive reimbursement from your employer you may still be eligible for this Credit. 

6. If I receive loans, scholarships or grants am I eligible to receive this Credit? 

Yes. Students who receive loans, scholarships or grants may still be eligible for this Credit. 

7. How many courses do I need to take to be eligible for this credit? 

Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours for the Spring 2 2025 term.  

8. When will I know if I am eligible for this credit?  

This credit is limited to the First 1000 students to meet all of the eligibility criteria, so there is no guarantee you will be among the First 1000.  

You'll be notified that you may be eligible to receive this credit once the eligibility criteria are met.

Note: Enrollment must be maintained through the start of class for the Spring 2 2025 term. If a student chooses to drop courses or reduce credit hours below the minimum 3 credit hours, or is dropped by the institution for any reason they will no longer be eligible for the credit. 

9. How will I receive the $250 credit? 

Your $250 credit will be applied to your fee bill automatically once you have met the above criteria.  

10. When does the credit expire? 

This is a one-time credit of $250 that will be applied to the students fee bill upon verification of the above eligibility criteria.

12. I applied for an LSU, LSU Shreveport or LSU Alexandria bachelors program by the promotion deadline of February 3, 2025 and I was admitted to the program for the  Spring 2 2025 term, but I decided to delay starting the program until Summer or Fall. Am I still eligible? 

No. This credit is only available for new students enrolling in the Spring 2 2025 term.

13. I am currently a student in an on-campus bachelor’s program and am switching to the online modality for my bachelor’s program. Am I eligible? 

No. This credit is for new students are applying for and starting an eligible online bachelor program in the Spring 2 2025 term.
