Clinical Psychology

The program is fully online and designed for students who seek a wide range of career opportunities such as a counselor, social worker, or health services manager in various settings. 

Family and Community Dynamics

This concentration provides the foundation necessary for students to start a rewarding psychology career helping individuals, families, and communities. This in-depth program trains students in essential areas of psychology and criminal justice including major concepts, theoretical perspectives, research methods, ethical standards, and family dynamics. After graduating, students can find work in nonprofits, healthcare facilities, educational settings, corrections, human resources departments, and more.

Industrial and Organizational Psychology

This concentration explores the behavior of individuals in business and organizational settings, through a robust curriculum that combines interdisciplinary studies, psychology methods, and business processes. Students of the program will focus on the many business functions that benefit from a psychological perspective such as motivating talent, developing leadership skills, and accessing departments to improve its overall effectiveness. Graduates are equipped for a wide range of careers, including marketing, management, and human resources. 

Applied Behavior Analysis

This concentration provides an in-depth understanding of the theories and practices of behavior analysis and their applications in various settings, including schools, clinical settings, and client homes. By completing this program, graduates will be prepared for careers in healthcare, special education, behavioral economics, mental health, and more. Students will also gain the skills needed to sit for the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).

Admission Requirements --- Online Psychology

For university acceptance, first-time freshmen must meet the following criteria:

• Complete high school Core curriculum for college readiness in place at time of high school graduation AND
• Not be required to take more than one developmental course AND
• Have a high school grade point average of at least 2.0 AND
• Meet one of the following:
  • Have an ACT composite of 20 or higher
  • Have a high school Core grade point average of at least 2.0

 

Transfer students to LSUA must meet one of the following sets of criteria:

• Have earned a transferable associate degree or higher OR
• Have earned at least 18 hours of college-level credit, including a college-level English and college-level mathematics course, with a grade of “C” or higher in each, and an overall GPA of at least 2.0 OR
• Have earned at least 12 hours of college-level credit from LSUE or CLTCC Bridge Program, including a college-level English and college-level mathematics course, with a grade of “C” or higher in each, and an overall GPA of at least 2.0 OR
• If the above are not met, meet freshman admission requirements and be in good standing with their previous institution

Transfer Credits: LSUA processes transfer credits in accordance with campus policies at the time the courses were taken. Prior to 2020, LSUA did not have a course repeat policy that excluded grades from GPA calculations. As a result, your stated GPA at LSUA may be affected, which could impact your admission decision.
