Follow the suggested steps below to have a quality course available for your students and a smooth start to the term!

Use Just-in-time Resources for Developing Your Course
- Request the Campus Moodle template for your course(s): Campus Moodle Template Request Form. Depending on the volume of requests, it may take approximately 2-3 business days to fulfill your request.
- Enroll yourself in the Faculty Resources for Learning Design & Teaching course in Moodle. Those teaching in a blended format, please check out Module 1 and specifically Module 1 Resources: Considerations for Blended Course Design.
- Use the Blended Course Alignment & Integration Map template to plan course activities and assessments.
- Complete your course syllabus using the syllabus template provided.
- Use the Course Design Checklist to confirm your course includes all essential components. Aim to have course development completed and your course made available to students one week prior to the start of the term.
- Review the Preparing and Facilitating Your Online Course checklist.
Note: If faculty developed an LSU Online course and plan to use the same course for campus online, they should ensure their course uses the most recent Moodle template and meets the standards outlined in the Course Design Checklist.
