Whether you are just exploring the idea of teaching online or you are preparing to develop and teach an online or blended course, the Faculty Technology Center (FTC) and Design & Development (D&D) team offer dedicated technical and course design support for your College one day per week! To adhere to safety protocols, the teams will be providing support virtually during the Fall 2020 semester rather than in a designated College location.

Each team member will be available on a specific day of the week to provide faculty support. Click on the “Book Consultation” button to select the desired service from the list provided, a date and time for the consultation, and to enter your contact and other necessary information. Upon booking your consultation, you will receive a confirmation email with the appointment details and Zoom information. If you wish to cancel or reschedule an existing appointment due to unexpected conflicts, please notify the D&D or FTC team member at least two hours in advance of the appointment time.
Heidi Guercio started with LSU Online & Continuing Education in 2018. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre concentrating in Literature, History, and Theory and minored in Women and Gender Studies at Louisiana State University. She developed an interest in course design after working as
student support for LSU Online. She implements her customer experience skills to create
resources that engage and improve the student experience across modalities.
Roland joined LSU and the FTC in 2018. He has 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
Roland holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems.

Karina Sanderson-Thorla has worked at LSU since 2019 and joined the LSU Online & Continuing
Education Design & Development team in 2020. Karina earned her Master of Arts in Adult Education
in 2010 from the University of South Florida. In her previous experience in the field of dental
hygiene and dental assisting, she taught dental assisting courses and revamped the dental
assisting curriculum for blended and online formats. As an eLearning Author, Karina enjoys using
her past curriculum design experience and assisting subject matter experts with designing
innovative online courses that encourage student learning and engagement.
Greg joined the FTC in 2018, but has been employed full-time at LSU since 1996. He holds a
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and a Master's in Human Resource Training &
Development from LSU.

Lynn Nahmens began working at LSU in 2015, and has been in the field of education and educational
technology for over 15 years. She has a Master of Science in Instructional Systems and Learning
Technologies from Florida State University, and worked in the Faculty Technology Center before
joining LSU Online & Continuing Education. In addition to assisting faculty in developing engaging
online learning, she supervises all non-credit online courses and programs, working closely with
the Continuing Education unit.

Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University.
In her spare time she enjoys singing, hanging out with her friends and family, party planning,
watching and playing sports.

Courtney R. Hebert has worked at LSU since 2017 and has a wide range of experiences in K-12
education, higher education, and educational technology. In her various roles as high school
English teacher, technology coordinator, and technology consultant, she has worked to create
environments where technology and education merge to create effective learning environments. Now
as a Learning Experience Designer with LSU Online & Continuing Education, she focuses on assisting
faculty with the design, development, and delivery of online courses and developing professional
development opportunities for faculty. Courtney received her Ed.D. in Instructional Systems Design and Technology at Sam Houston State University in 2021.
Phoenix joined the FTC in 2019. He has 20 years of IT experience, has been at LSU full-time since
2010 and has been adjunct faculty in Library and Information Science since 2017. Phoenix holds a
Bachelor’s in Humanities and a Master’s in Library and Information Sciences from LSU.

integrating educational technology, differentiated instruction, curriculum development.

Jennifer Page joined LSU Online in August 2021. Jennifer earned her Ph.D. (2014) and M.A. (2009) degrees in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and was previously an Associate Professor of English at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. As faculty, Jennifer enjoyed online course design and mentoring new faculty course designers so much that she entered the field full-time; she has worked in instructional technology and design since 2019. As a Learning Experience Designer with LSU Online, Jennifer supports faculty in designing high-quality, learner-centered courses. Jennifer is interested in accessibility, culturally responsive teaching, and competency-based education.
