LSUA offers an exciting opportunity for students who already hold an associate degree in Applied Arts or Applied Sciences. The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences program allows students to transfer up to 60 credits from their associate program. Designed for students with 3 to 5 years of work experience, our BAAS program includes courses on business, management, and leadership development that can be important for career advancement. This fully online program is designed for professionals who wish to work full-time while studying to complete their degree. Graduates will be well-equipped for career growth in industries like the Military, Information Technology, HVAC, Culinary, Welding, and more.

The BAAS program is designed to help you quickly finish your Bachelor’s degree and increase your earning potential.
Students with an Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences or Applied Arts can transfer 60 credits from their program. Additional credits for other college coursework may also be transferred.
Students enrolled in this program are eligible for membership in the Omega Nu Lambda (ONL) Honor Society. Total cost with fees and maximum amount of credits allowed to transfer into the program: $9,750

The final cost of this program will be determined once all transfer credits are evaluated. Transfer credits may apply for up to 75% of degree requirements. Your academic advisor will work with you to determine if and how any prior college credits earned will apply toward your LSUA degree. Students who graduate with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree will gain an interdisciplinary education that prepares them for whatever field they desire to pursue.
Graduates of the online BAAS program will learn to do the following:
LSU Alexandria’s Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences is the only general BAAS degree offered in Louisiana. All applied associate degrees offered in Louisiana are Associates of Science, so students with a degree from any of those programs will be able to apply to our program. Many of the surrounding states also offer associate programs that are transferable to ours. LSUA also only requires 39 hours of general education that are very generic and can easily be completed at a student’s 2-year institution. Additionally, LSUA’s BAAS is one of the most affordable of its kind.
