Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the online Focused Master of Business Administration from LSU Online pushes experienced professionals to become leaders in business. Offered through the E. J. Ourso College of Business, this enterprising track of the Flores MBA Program delivers a comprehensive curriculum that strengthens leadership, management, and critical analysis skills.

LSU’s MBA is not a one size fits all degree. The online program is designed to offer a customized and flexible pathway to meet our student’s career goals. Students can curate a degree specific to their interests through a required core, customized core, and customized set of electives. Specializations in either Emerging Technology, Data Analytics, or Healthcare Management are also available. Students pursuing the Data Analytics specialization can also earn a Graduate Certificate in Analytics without taking any additional courses.

This degree is offered at 36 hours, decreased from 42 hours. This means while other on-campus and online MBA programs take around two years to complete, the LSU online program can be finished in as few as 18 months. And with an expansive alumni network, students can access LSU’s world-class professional resources while pursuing their education in a flexible format.

Admission Requirements

Graduate School

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited U.S. or equivalent from a foreign institution
  • GPA – 3.0 on all undergraduate work (or last half-degree) and a 3.0 on any graduate work already complete.
  • GMAT or GRE required

Program Requirements

  • Currently employed with 3 years of demonstrated professional experience
  • Statement of purpose- motivation to attend LSU Flores Online MBA, including personal and career goals, and your commitment to excellence –address your readiness to pursue an MBA in online format.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Two letters of recommendation – professional not friend or relative and one from employer

Equipment Requirements
There are specific hardware and software requirements for students pursuing the Data Analytics specialization. The requirements below are set forth so that students may not have any issue loading data or software to their machine.
  • Windows 10 Professional, Enterprise, or Education (Education is available through OnTheHub)
  • 4 Core, X64, 64 Bit processor
  • 16 GB RAM (16 recommended)
  • 500GB Hard drive
  • ATA 100/7,200 RPM hard drive is preferred but a 5,400 will work
  • A graphics card supporting a higher resolution than 1024×768 (32-bit). (1 GB dedicated, non-shared, memory card is recommended.)​
By becoming familiar with the types of technologies taught in this program, students are given a head start in their field post-graduation. Apple Systems are not recommended as all software utilized in this course requires the Windows operating system. However, if you do decide to utilize an Apple computer you must have Windows (10 or higher) running prior to starting courses.​ This can be done through a partitioned hard drive or other means of split operating systems.
