In this spotlight, Quantinna shares how she made space for her dreams, used her coursework as a foundation for advocacy, and found strength in every step of the journey. Read more about her story below!

Meet Quantinna Bellamy

What initially made you apply to the online MHA program at LSUS?
I was drawn to the LSUS online MHA program because of its flexibility, affordability, and reputation for supporting working professionals. I needed a program that aligned with my schedule and life goals while still offering a rigorous and relevant curriculum in healthcare administration.

How did you balance life, work, publishing your book, and school?
Balance came through structure, prayer, and discipline. I set clear priorities each week, carved out dedicated study time, and leaned on my support system. Publishing Serenity Pathways during this time was challenging, but it also reinforced my “why”—helping others heal and grow through faith and education.

What was your favorite course or topic, and why?
My favorite course was Healthcare Strategic Management. It pulled together many skills—critical thinking, leadership, data analysis—and showed how strategic planning impacts real-world outcomes. I found it both intellectually rewarding and deeply applicable to my long-term goals.

What did you appreciate most about the faculty and support services?
The accessibility and empathy of the faculty truly stood out. They understood the demands on adult learners and remained approachable and responsive. The support services—especially the academic advisors—helped keep me on track without feeling overwhelmed.

How has this program impacted your personal growth and professional development?
This program refined my leadership approach and deepened my understanding of systems thinking in healthcare. Personally, I’ve grown more confident in my decision-making and advocacy work. Professionally, I’m more equipped to influence policy and design programs that serve vulnerable populations effectively.

What advice would you give to prospective students considering the MHA program?
Start with a strong “why” and revisit it often. Use every course as a stepping stone toward your mission, not just a grade. And don’t be afraid to reach out—to professors, peers, or advisors. You’re not in this alone.

Tell us more about your book, Serenity Pathways: Faith, Forgiveness, & Moving Forward. How does your MHA degree connect with this work?
My book is about emotional healing, faith, and forgiveness. The MHA degree complements this by equipping me to create structured, scalable programs that support mental, emotional, and physical wellness—especially for underserved communities like foster youth. Together, they represent both the heart and the infrastructure needed for true transformation.

How do you plan to use your degree in the future—especially in relation to your work with young adults transitioning out of foster care?
I plan to develop transitional care programs that blend mental health support, career coaching, and healthcare navigation. My MHA provides the administrative and strategic tools to build sustainable systems that empower these young adults to thrive.

Is there anything else you want us to know?
Every chapter of this journey—academic, spiritual, and professional—has been a reminder that healing and leadership go hand-in-hand. I hope to continue creating spaces where others can find both.
