How has the online learning experience differed from your expectations? 

From the time I began the process for enrollment, I thought all my free time would need to be dedicated to studying and working on my classes. However, I was able to be involved with the classes as much or as little as I wanted. The opportunity to interact with other students when needed and the availability of the professors exceeded my expectations and helped me succeed in the program. 

Can you share a specific example of how you applied what you learned? 

The concepts covered in the program included software, skills, and techniques that were familiar and new to me. The familiar concepts gave me the refresher I needed to utilize them more often in my daily work. The new concepts broadened my knowledge and gave me new perspectives on how to analyze data. 

What was your favorite aspect of the program? 

My favorite part of the program was not always having a set time to dedicate to each class. The ability for me to study and complete assignments when it was convenient for me helped with balancing the time I spent on my studies, work, and with family. 

What skills or knowledge from the program have been most valuable in your job?

There wasn’t a single skill or set of knowledge I learned that did not create value. The entire program created value for me in my current job, and for future opportunities as well. Being a part of the LSU community created additional value for me personally and professionally.
