What helps people stay active as they age? How can physical activity support disease prevention? What role can movement and exercise play in improving quality of life in different communities?
These are some of the questions students can explore through the new online Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Public Health & Health Promotion from LSU.
The 120-credit-hour program examines the science of physical activity and human movement while connecting that knowledge to health, wellness, and human performance. Grounded in exercise science, health promotion, and human movement, the curriculum takes an evidence-based approach to improving health at both the individual and community levels. Students can prepare for careers in fitness, community and public health, rehabilitation, sports performance, and corporate wellness, while also building an academic foundation for graduate education in health-related fields.
