I now feel more prepared to drive impact and contribute to meaningful change in my organization and community. 

What did you appreciate most about the faculty and support services?  

The faculty demonstrated a consistent approach to supporting students through clear instruction and guidance. Professors focused on ensuring comprehension of course material and encouraged student engagement with academic and professional development. The learning environment promoted both challenge and growth. Support services provided timely resources and effective assistance as needed. 

What advice would you give to prospective students considering the program? 

My recommendation to prospective students is straightforward: pursue this opportunity, as it offers substantial value. The program enhances knowledge while fostering a deeper understanding of the crucial role nonprofits serve within our communities. Nonprofit organizations are indispensable in today's society. A notable aspect of the program was the assignment of a student success coach, who provided consistent support, facilitated progress, and assisted in overcoming challenges throughout the academic experience. For individuals committed to positive change and seeking to develop effective leadership skills, this program represents a significant and purposeful choice. 

How has the program helped you achieve your career goals?  

The program has been instrumental in advancing my career goals by providing a solid foundation in nonprofit administration. I have gained in-depth knowledge in essential areas such as governance, fundraising, financial management, and strategic planning. As a result, I am fully prepared to exercise even stronger leadership skills and make informed, effective decisions within nonprofit organizations. 

Is there anything else you want us to know? 

To my seasoned students who think they are too old to return, don’t delay, register today. One morning, I woke up and said to myself, “The time is now. Do it.” Sometimes, you must be your own biggest encourager. I took that leap of faith, and not only did I thrive, I maintained a 4.0 GPA. I was even a little upset if I received anything less than an “A” on an assignment or project! As a busy entrepreneur, wife, mother to a special needs young adult, and mentor, I asked myself, “How can I possibly accomplish this goal?” The answer? Put YOU on your calendar too. Sow seeds back into yourself just as much as you sow into others. If you are reading this and waiting for a sign to move forward, this is it. Just do it!
