What Is Preventia?
Preventia is a virtual health and wellness coaching service that empowers students to improve executive functioning and overall wellbeing through guided, one-on-one support.
Coaches help you build practical, sustainable habits in areas like:
- Restorative sleep
- Physical activity
- Stress management
- Mental wellbeing
- Nutritional health
- Weight loss
- Substance avoidance
- Transformative care
These sessions go beyond just wellness. Sessions also provide real-world strategies for managing coursework, deadlines, and personal goals. Each session is tailored to your individual needs so you can stay focused, balanced, and motivated.
How It Works
Getting started is simple:
- Sign up with your LSU email.
Visit the Preventia Sign-Up Page to register using your LSU credentials.
- Complete onboarding.
You’ll answer a few quick questions to help match you with the right coach.
- Schedule your sessions.
Book virtual meetings that work around your classes, work, and personal life.
- Start your journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
Thanks to a special grant, all sessions are completely free for eligible LSU students — no out-of-pocket fees.
How many sessions can I use?
Students can use up to eight sessions in 2025 (January 1–December 31, 2025) and another eight sessions in 2026 (January 1–December 31, 2026).
What topics can coaching help with?
Preventia supports students with topics such as executive functioning, planning, time and stress management, study strategies, motivation, habit-building, and goal setting.
How do I access or schedule a session?
Visit the Student Health Center Wellness Coaching page, sign in with your LSU email, complete onboarding, and schedule your session.
