A Partnership with Programs to Succeed

NECA partners with LSU Online & Continuing Education to offer micro-credential, or MicroCred, programs through the NECA Education Advancement Resource Network (EARN). These programs are designed for working professionals to sharpen their skills or explore new ones in a convenient format online.

NECA is the voice of the $171 billion electrical construction industry that brings power, light and communication technology to buildings and communities across the U.S. Their national office and 118 local chapters advance the industry through advocacy, education, research, and standards development. A diverse group of nearly 4,000 member companies account for approximately 300 million manhours per year.

Each MicroCred program is either self-paced or term-based and ranges from only two to six courses. Successful completion of the program earns you an official LSU digital badge unique to the program. Use the badge to bulk up your resume and showcase your expertise in the topic. Since admission to LSU is not required, there is no application process. To start a program, all you need to do is register.
