DevOps - Continuous Deployment
DevOps is an area of growth in the IT field across industries. The curriculum for this MicroCred is for beginners, those who would like to see if this career is for them. It has been organized for those with or without a college degree who would like an overview of the profession along with an understanding of major principles of DevOps, such as cloud platform, continuous deployment and containers.
To earn a MicroCred, you must complete 3 online self-paced – 6 hour courses. The Introduction to DevOps course and a 2 concept courses: A fundamentals and an applications course. Each course will be 6 hours for a total of 18 hours. The Introduction to DevOps course may count toward multiple MicroCreds. Students will receive a digital badge from LSU Digital & Continuing Education that can be used for online résumés, personal websites or social media. LSU MicroCreds offer a cost-effective means to establish and publicize your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a specialization. Upon successful completion of a MicroCred, you will receive a digital badge from LSU Digital & Continuing Education.
Our MicroCreds are intended especially for working professionals and others who need a flexible means of taking courses and documenting the qualifications they give you. Some courses in a MicroCred program may earn you college credit, so your MicroCred could also start you on the path to a credit certificate or a college degree.
You may start any course for this MicroCred at any time. Admission to LSU is not required.
