Reminder: Ensure Your Fall 1 Course Includes the Required Academic Engagement Activities

Federal Financial Aid regulations require the confirmation of attendance in 100% online courses by the census date for students to receive federal aid. Please be sure to include an academic engagement activity (AEA) that is due by the census date (August 27, 2021). Faculty typically designate this activity by including "AEA" in the title of the activity. Keep in mind that the AEA activity cannot be an introduction forum or syllabus quiz—students must engage with the academic content of the course.

Although not a Financial Aid requirement, your course should also include an academic engagement activity that is due on the last day of the term (students must complete the activity by that date). This is to confirm student participation for the entire course duration.
